Since I forgot to do March 3rds weather, I thought to catch up I'd do two in one. This map from unisys is of March 3rd and as you can see my prediction from last post was completely wrong. Instead of the High pressure moving into the Low pressure, the Low pressure moved to sit right on top of us. As a result we had snow. On another not the precipitation on the east coast is moving with the cold front. The northern part is more or less dying off, which is not surprising as we have an occluded front there.

The silver lining for forgetting to do yesterdays is that I have both maps next to each other for a comparison. It looks like a Colorado High moved North East towards us, causing the low above Eau Claire to move out of the way. This is evident by the daily barometric pressure at met station. Although we did get snow in the early part of the day, it was very light. By the looks of this map it moved south and caused a little bit of bad weather for Tennessee. When that high moved, a Low swooped in to take its place and now seems to be moving with a rather large cold front south south west. The previous fronts from yesterday's east coast have moved out into the ocean, and you can see part of the cold front int he bottom right corner of the map.
